Underwater City for Marine Biology and Overcrowding - The Reef Garden

Overcrowding on land has lead to the displacement of families and a dwindling middle class. Our solution to this problem is to expand underwater for the creation of a new industry.

The design was intentionally chosen to mimic that of an oyster to create an artificial reef which would be the first line of defense against rising sea levels and increasingly strong tides.

Coral bleaching has caused irreversible damage to our ecosystems which is why we will include artificial coral reefs and habitats for marine life in our designs.

The UN SDG-11 (sustainable cities and communities) and SDG-14 (conserving life underwater). This is the first prototype of the Reef Gardens. Featuring a balloon coral design and moonpools in each chamber tied down by an anchor for ease of deployment.
